The fifth nationwide Digitaltag will take place on June 7, 2024. The day of action brings people together to shed light on various aspects of digitalization, discuss opportunities and challenges, and initiate a broad social dialogue. In 2024, the focus will be on AI.
The aim of the Digitaltag is to promote digital participation. It is sponsored by the "Digital for all" initiative, backed by a broad alliance of 28 organizations from the fields of civil society, culture, science, business, welfare, and the public sector. All people in Germany should be able to move confidently and independently in the digital world.
The Research Institute of the Free State of Bavaria for software-intensive systems, fortiss, is participating in the nationwide Digitaltag on June 7, 2024. We therefore cordially invite you to visit the fortiss Labs and look forward to your questions about digitalization and artificial intelligence. The labs play a central role in shaping the digital future. By combining scientific excellence and application-oriented research, they contribute to the development of innovative solutions that actively shape change in all areas of life.
The digital transformation process and the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) can be seen and felt across all industries. That is why fortiss is continuously researching future-relevant topics in the fields of software and systems engineering, AI engineering, and IoT engineering. The fortiss Labs act as a bridge between scientific theory and practical application. This is where the concentrated expertise of the fortiss fields of competence and an outstanding industry-specific hardware infrastructure come together. The labs have a test site area in the application domains of Industrial IoT (IIoT), Mobility, Robotics, Energy, and Neuromorphic Computing.
The premises in Munich's Highlight Towers provide a broad and interested audience with an application-oriented, interactive platform for exchanging ideas on the diverse topics of digital transformation and engaging with flexible types of software systems and innovations such as AI. They offer a state-of-the-art lab infrastructure and a new environment for experimentation and training.
