European Robotics Forum 2025
Under the motto "BOOSTING THE SYNERGIES BETWEEN ROBOTICS AND AI FOR A STRONGER EUROPE," the European Robotics Forum (ERF) will take place for the first time in Germany from March 25 to 27, 2025, at the Stuttgart Liederhalle. More than 1,300 participants from research, industry, and politics are expected. The forum aims to foster synergies between robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), driving collaboration in these key technologies.
A special highlight of the forum is the integrated conference "AI-based Robotics 2025" (KIRO), organized by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). This conference will provide key insights into the future development of AI-based robotics in Germany and Europe.
The ERF program includes over 50 workshops covering topics such as application trends in industrial and service robotics, generative AI in robot programming and control, the AI Act, and humanoid robots. Additionally, an exhibition showcasing robot- and AI-based applications will give participants the opportunity to learn about the latest developments.
As part of the ERF, the fortiss fields of expertise in Neuromorphic Computing and Platform Engineering, in collaboration with industry partner Neura Robotics GmbH and Chemnitz University of Technology, will present the fortiss project CORINNE (Cobots' Relational Interface with Neuromorphic Networks and Events). The project aims to develop robots capable of recognizing and responding to gestures to interact with humans in welding tasks.
