Prof. Diepold holds the Chair for Data Processing at the TUM School of Electronics and Computer Engineering, an active member of the CDTM board of management and also heads the AI area at the Science Board of the Munich School of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MSRM) at TUM. He is also a research fellow at fortiss and supports the institute with his expertise in the area of applied machine learning.
At CDTM he has been active for more than one year in the entrepreneurship training of students in all programs. The CDTM research activities focus on new technologies with a high degree of economic relevance that should be made ready for the market within 5 to 10 years. The CDTM collaborates closely with renowned industry partners, startups and small-to-medium enterprises. fortiss, as an an-Institute of TUM, also offers here in particular the model "Entrepreneur in Residence" for the preparation of high-growth technology start-ups.
The CDTM is jointly operated by the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich and TUM. It offers the interdisciplinary program “Technology Management”, which is part of the Elite Network Bavaria. Thanks to creative ideas, a high degree of motivation and entrepreneurial thinking, students in various study programs are well equipped to turn their ideas into practical applications. The award "TUM Start-up Mentor of Excellence Award" includes a grant for the management of further startup projects.
