Machine Learning Lab

The Machine Learning Lab (MLL) is a central infrastructure element of the Machine Learning research division. It serves as an interface between the research- and technology-based machine learning development activities at fortiss, and industry applications, with the aim of streamlining communications and technology transfer.

Research contribution

The fortiss Machine Learning Lab (MLL) is structured around the “One ML” concept, which refers to a company or an office that conveniently offers multiple services from one location or within a single system. With the MLL, partners and employees can thus take advantage of all the required services related to machine learning using a single point of contact.

The focal point of the MLL is to make a wide range of basic technical know-how and hardware and software infrastructures available to external partners and fortiss associates. A further goal of the MLL is to transfer fundamental knowledge to engineers in science and industry, thus helping to spawn and train new experts in the field of artificial intelligence.
