Research Fellow Prof. Dr. Florian Matthes

Florian Matthes studied at the J.W.-Goethe University in Frankfurt and obtained his doctorate in 1992 at the University of Hamburg. He holds the Chair for Software Engineering for Business Information Systems at TUM and was the Dean of Studies at the School for Computer Science as well as a member of the teaching board until 2010.

The current focus of his research is on enterprise information systems and software engineering with a focus on the management of enterprise architectures, model-driven web application development and social software architectures.

As head of the software architecture group at the Society for Informatics, member of the advisory board of the Ernst Denert-Stiftung for Software Engineering and an organizer of international conferences and workshops, Prof. Matthes promotes collaboration between users and researchers in the fields of computer science and business informatics.

Prof. Dr. Florian Matthes serves as a research fellow at fortiss where he focuses on the area of software engineering for business information systems.
