Digital Transformation at the Turn of the Times. Sustainable. Resilient. Future-oriented.
Under the annual theme "Digital Transformation at the Turn of the Times. Sustainable. Resilient. Future-oriented." the German government's next Digital Summit will be held in Jena on November 20 and 21, 2023. In addition to Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the hosting federal ministers Dr. Robert Habeck (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action) and Dr. Volker Wissing (Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport), numerous other federal ministers and high-ranking representatives from business, science and civil society are expected to attend.
Germany is at a turning point. Meeting multiple challenges in a sustainable manner, but also strengthening resilience and creating better future viability, is inconceivable today without digitization.
In dialog with experts from business, science and civil society, the German government's Digital Summit identifies the key challenges, stimulates new ways of thinking and presents possible solutions. In this way, we are advancing digitization and strengthening Germany as a business location in this transformation process.
The Federal Government's Digital Summit 2023 is a forum for dialog in which participants from politics, business, science and civil society interact directly with the Federal Government. Here, they receive a variety of inspirations, work on setting the course for digital policy issues of the future, and can thus give visibility to their own concerns. For this purpose, the Digital Summit offers the right mix of innovations, exclusivity and transparency, social relevance and personal networking.
Together with the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Illmenau and the Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI), the Research Institute of the Free State of Bavaria for software-intensive systems will be represented there with its own booth. In addition, under the motto "Mittelstand-Digital Zentren stärken und begleiten KMU auf dem Weg zur Klimaneutralität" three programs from the network of Mittelstand-Digital Centers will be presented. Dr. Markus Duchon, head of the fortiss competence field Architectures and Services for Critical Infrastructures, will present the energy management system from the future project Energy Knowledge and Intelligent Application "EILE". This project is being realized as part of a cooperation between the two Mittelstand Digital Centers in Augsburg and Chemnitz.
