Zusammenfassung

We present our research-in-progress on designing Blockchain/ Distributed Ledger Technologies-based IT-architectures in government. Our approach consists of three steps: need analysis, feasibility study, and architecture design based on exchangeable building blocks. We argue that DLT should be defined as a trust layer atop of existing IT-infrastructure instead of replacing existing information systems. To support our claim, we provide an exemplary application.
